Why do I think you should try Aqua?
I have a very active lifestyle. I love and need stimulation all the time. I love learning, growing, trying new things and expanding myself to unknown dimensions. I recently found a new addition to my repertoire: Aqua-cycling. I fell in love with it the very first time I took the class — so much so that I became an Instructor at the first and only aqua cycling studio called “Aqua” (located at 78 Franklin st. in Tribeca NYC, Tel:212- 966-6784).
Aqua Cycling has been around for a while In Europe, but it is new to North America. There are countless benefits of Aqua. You can read more about it at www.aquastudiony.com. Rather than repeat the same information found on Aqua’s website, I’d like to share with you my own personal experience.
Why do I think Aqua is a great addition to your workout routine?
Most people workout today to get in shape or lose weight. So many of you are trying very hard, often with over-stressful workouts or excessively strict diets, without achieving your desired results. Why aren’t you getting results?
When we put too much stress on our body, with sudden drastic changes, or just stressful workouts alone can throw off our hormonal balance. Our life is stressful enough already — especially if you live in a big city like New York. We all have different stressors, including: environmental, work, lifestyle, relationships, processed foods, not enough sleep, constant information overload…
When your goal is to lose weight one of the most effective things to do is to trick your body into doing so. How can you do that? Because everyone is different, you may have to try different things. If you are one who has been training REALLY HARD, DEPRIVING yourself with food restrictions without reaching your goals, it’s time to rethink your strategy and change your approach.
I’ve had great results with weight loss by putting my body through just the right amount of stress. I like to run. Often I go out to run for an hour or more, though running long distance takes it’s toll on my body. I also do lots of body-weight exercises and use a suspension trainer (TRX) for toning. I take Kundalini yoga classes to find peace, which helps me connect to my spirit.
Spinning in water helps me eliminate many stressors of a high impact workout. I can work very hard and burn lots of calories without breaking my body down too much, while also getting a full body workout. Aqua spinning helps keep my joints safe. It relaxes my mind, and being in the water awakens the little child inside of me. I enjoy every second I spend in the water. Aqua cycling has been a valuable and well needed addition to my workout routine. It helped me create a well-rounded routine by lowering the stress levels of my workout while increasing the benefits of it – and it helped me reach my weight loss goals much faster.
Depending on your workout routine and your goals, if you can schedule in a couple of classes a week, Aqua is a great addition to your life that will help you look and feel great.
